TYPOGRAPHY
My quote of choice was 'In the end, the only audience that matters is you.' from the documentary 'Objectified' that we watched in Studio. I took this to mean that the most important part of your work is what -you- as an individual put into it. To forget trends and worrying what other people are doing. To embrace your own individuality.
I used two main themes for my typeface. The first being that it is based directly off my own handwriting. I analysed samples of my own writing and came up with the forms for my typeface esp. looking at the almost calligraphic/brush ink feel to many of the letter forms.
The second theme was that of fingerprints - symbol for 'unique'/'individuality', which I put into several selected characters.
